The community of St Nicholas got together from July to September of 2020 to renovate the Rectory and put it in living conditions for the coming of Father Joseph Kandeor as a resident priest. It was hard work; it took over $27,000 but the result turned out to be wonderful. We are very thankful to many people who donated money, time, and talent to get it done. This is the letter that Father George Okeahialam sent to the congregation after we were done with the project:
Dear brothers and sisters,Greetings in the Most Blessed Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings from above.
I am exceedingly excited to announce to you that the rectory renovation which started on July 9 was completed on September 12, 2020. This feat would not have been successful without the generous sacrifice of your time, talent, and treasure. Many of you braved the challenges and dangerous consequences of COVID-19 to accomplish this task. This is faith in action.
May God who sees, knows, and understands our innermost needs bless you all abundantly. Father Joseph will be delighted to live in this lovely home.
Thank you very much and may God bless you.
Yours in Christ,
Very Rev. George N. Okeahialam, MSP
